Patience Ozokwor Recalls Earning ₦2,000 for Her First Nollywood Role

Nollywood veteran Patience Ozokwor has recalled earning ₦2,000 for her first movie role. Speaking during a livestream with content creator Carter Efe, she said her pay gradually increased as her career progressed. She recalled receiving ₦15,000 for a role and feeling so excited that she decided to host a house party. Ozokwor also reflected on her early “witch” characters, saying the roles gave her a way to portray evil, challenge injustice and show that actions have consequences.
