Super Falcons and PSG midfielder Rasheedat Ajibade has opened up about how she took on “paripá” menial jobs to raise money for her WAEC examination fees. She spoke at a Lagos grassroots football programme organised by her RAS Foundation with support from the Nigeria Institute for Sports. Young female players attended training and gym sessions designed to nurture their talents. Ajibade says her early struggles inspire her to help girls believe they can succeed regardless of their background. She hopes the initiative will uncover future stars and offer them hope. The 26-year-old also shared confidence in the Super Falcons’ chances at the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, insisting the team has what it takes to secure an 11th title.
