Nigeria, Korea and FAO Launch Green Jobs Project for Youths in Agriculture

The Federal Government has partnered with the Republic of Korea, the Korea International Cooperation Agency and the Food and Agriculture Organization on a four-year Green Jobs for Youth in Resilient Agrifood Systems Project. The programme will train young Nigerians, provide access to technology and create opportunities across rice, vegetables, cocoa and aquaculture value chains. Its pilot phase will run in Nasarawa, Cross River and Bayelsa states. Officials say the project is intended to improve youth participation in agriculture, raise productivity and strengthen food systems. Successful models from the pilot may later be extended to other parts of the country.
