Menelik I: The Divine Heir of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba
In ancient times, King Solomon of Israel and the Queen of Sheba formed a bond during her legendary visit to Jerusalem. Their union forged a bridge between two great kingdoms. The queen returned to Ethiopia carrying a child of prophecy. That son, Menelik I, was destined to rule. As he grew, he learned of his royal heritage and yearned to meet his father. Upon his arrival in Jerusalem, Solomon embraced Menelik and recognized him by both appearance and spirit. To solidify Ethiopia’s spiritual destiny, Solomon entrusted his son with the Ark of the Covenant and sent priests and scholars to guide the new kingdom. Menelik returned to Axum and was crowned Ethiopia’s first emperor by divine will. The Ark found its resting place there, becoming an eternal symbol of Ethiopia’s chosen status and the unbroken bond between heaven and earth.
