Lagos Assembly Resolution Backs Ojaekomo Family’s 27.6-Hectare Land Allocation

The Centre for Public Accountability and Social Well-being has supported the Lagos State House of Assembly’s resolution on the disputed Ojaekomo land allocation. The group said the Assembly considered petitions from the Ojaekomo and Ojomu royal families, government land officials and other parties at a meeting on September 10, 2026. It said the committee upheld allocations of 27.6 hectares to the Ojaekomo family and 32.4 hectares to the Ojomu family. According to the group, the former Certificate of Occupancy covering about 60 hectares had already been revoked by the Lagos State Government and remains cancelled. It urged all parties to stay within their allocated portions and called on authorities to investigate alleged unauthorised activity on the Ojaekomo section.
