Ella Onojuvwevwo Reaches Commonwealth Games Women’s 400m Final

Nigeria’s Ella Onojuvwevwo has qualified for the women’s 400m final at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. She won the third semi-final in 51.47 seconds to claim one of the two automatic qualification places. Wales’ Charlotte Henrich finished second in 52.13 seconds, while Grenada’s Jamara Patterson placed third in 52.92 seconds. Onojuvwevwo took control in the closing stages and will now compete for a medal as Team Nigeria continues its strong athletics campaign in Glasgow.
