Three Suspected Aiye Cultists Arrested in Ikorodu, Nine Guns Seized

Three suspected members of the Aiye confraternity were arrested in Imota, Ikorodu during an intelligence-led operation, the Lagos Police Command said. Officers seized one Beretta pistol, a homemade gun, seven Dane guns, a stun gun, ammunition and cutlasses. The recovered Beretta allegedly belongs to a wanted cultist known as “Mayibone,” who remains at large. The suspects, aged 37, 42 and 60, are assisting investigators as police intensify efforts to apprehend other fleeing gang members and recover more weapons. The Lagos Commissioner of Police reaffirmed the command’s commitment to tackling cultism across the state. Residents are urged to report suspicious persons, vehicles or activities to the nearest station or through the command’s emergency lines.
