Lampard Backs Taiwo Awoniyi to Make Major Impact at Coventry City
Coventry City manager Frank Lampard has expressed confidence that Taiwo Awoniyi will make a strong impact following his move from Nottingham Forest. The Nigerian striker ended a four-year spell at Forest to join the Premier League newcomers. Lampard said Awoniyi’s physical presence, experience and ability to trouble defenders will be valuable to the team. Lampard also believes the 29-year-old is motivated by the chance to play regularly. He said Coventry will manage Awoniyi carefully while giving him the opportunity to prove himself.
