Dr. Sharon Ifunanya Maduekwe, wife of Nollywood actor Shawn Faqua, says his strict boundaries during their courtship initially made her doubt his intentions. She recalled that he insisted they would not have sex before marriage and would not allow her to visit his home alone. When she once asked to stay over after her hotel was fully booked, he said he needed spiritual guidance before agreeing. According to her, the restrictions made her suspect he was hiding another woman. She said past relationship experiences made it difficult for her to believe he was simply being honest about his Christian values.
