Repatriated Nigerian Woman Vows Never to Return After Husband’s Killing in South Africa
Emilia Godwin was among 258 Nigerians flown back this morning after a Federal Government intervention at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos. Speaking to journalists, she described facing mockery, beatings and xenophobic attacks in South Africa. Emilia accused some local women of luring Nigerian men, seizing their property and even killing her husband. Despite her daughter’s South African birth, Emilia said she will never set foot in South Africa again.
