Ex-Senegal Star Says Morocco Could Keep AFCON 2025 Title After CAS Ruling
Former Senegal defender Boukary Dramé says Morocco could legally retain the AFCON 2025 title if the Court of Arbitration for Sport rules in the Atlas Lions’ favour. Senegal won the final 1-0 after extra time, but CAF’s Appeals Committee later overturned the result and awarded Morocco a 3-0 victory. Senegal has appealed the decision before CAS in a bid to reclaim the title. Dramé said Senegal must accept the final ruling, even if it is unpopular. He added that the controversy has damaged the image of African football and should push authorities to prevent similar disputes in future competitions.
