NDSUG President-Elect Visits DSS in Akwa Ibom to Strengthen Student-Security Ties
I, Comr. Adighibe Wisdom Ikechukwu, National President-Elect of the Niger Delta Students Union Government (NDSUG), led a delegation to meet the Akwa Ibom State Director of the Department of State Service, Mr. Adetoyin Adetuberu, PhD, and his Deputy. This visit is part of our commitment to foster cooperation between students and security agencies. Following my election on December 20, 2025, at the NUJ Secretariat in Port Harcourt, I prioritized building partnerships that promote peace and a safe learning environment. Our delegation included Vice President-East Comrade Benjamin Wuwu, Financial Secretary Elder Isuho Jackson, Pioneer Coordinator Mr. Akan Wills, High Chief Mandy Ezekiel, and Hon. Idoreyin Ukpong. We discussed strategies to address students’ concerns and establish a sustainable framework for ongoing dialogue. I reaffirmed our resolve to work in harmony with security agencies to ensure stability and academic excellence across the Niger Delta. This visit sets the tone for an inclusive administration focused on unity, accountability, and collective progress. Long live NIDSUG! Long live Niger Delta Students! Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
