The Nnewi South Students Association hosted its maiden Homecoming of Giants in January at Skyview Resort, Utuh. The event attracted more than 500 students from all ten communities in the local government area, alongside representatives from Nigerian and international tertiary institutions. Beyond a reunion, the gathering enabled networking, mentorship, and community development. Attendees joined capacity-building sessions and took part in a National Student Awards competition, with winners in categories such as Best MC, Graphic Designer, Footballer, and Chapter President. Distinguished sons and daughters of Nnewi South joined the celebration. Notable guests included the traditional ruler of Utuh, senior business leaders, the Senate representative for Anambra South, and the Commissioner for Education. Organizers aim to make the Homecoming of Giants an annual tradition to foster educational excellence, youth empowerment, and sustainable development. Participants left inspired, optimistic, and committed to building a stronger future for Nnewi South.
