Tinubu Touches Down in Nairobi for Africa Forward Summit with Macron and African Leaders
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Nairobi in the early hours of Monday to join the Africa Forward Summit. The event brings together African heads of state, global policymakers and development partners to discuss economic transformation, regional cooperation and sustainable development. Welcomed by Kenya’s Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and senior diplomats, Tinubu’s participation underlines Nigeria’s commitment to continental unity and strategic partnerships. The summit, co-hosted by President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron, aims to deepen cooperation in trade, digital innovation, infrastructure, climate resilience and investment. During the summit, Tinubu will engage in bilateral and multilateral discussions on trade expansion, food security, climate action, digital economy growth and maritime cooperation. His delegation includes key cabinet ministers for Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Environment, Trade, Digital Economy and Climate Change. The Presidency says this engagement supports the Renewed Hope Agenda by positioning Nigeria as a leading voice in Africa’s economic and diplomatic future.
