Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle praised Moses Usor and Moses Simon after Nigeria came from behind to beat Madagascar 2-1 in their opening 2027 AFCON qualifier in Uyo. Madagascar took an early lead, but George Ilenikhena equalised shortly before half-time on his senior debut. Usor then came off the bench and scored the winner in the 65th minute after a solo run through the defence. Chelle said the two players brought energy and the ability to take on defenders in one-on-one situations. Nigeria will next face Guinea-Bissau away on Tuesday.
