Fashola Declares ‘I’m President at Home’, Rules Out Presidential Bid

Former Lagos State Governor and ex-Minister of Works Babatunde Fashola has dismissed all talk of a presidential run. In a TVC interview, he gave a clear answer when asked if he would contest for Nigeria’s highest office: “No.” When probed again about a possible bid, he smiled and asked, “President of what? I’m president at home.” Fashola reflected on his two decades in public service as an extraordinary privilege. He said he hopes his journey inspires a new generation to explore Nigeria’s possibilities.
