Alex Iwobi Becomes First African With 100 Premier League Appearances for Three Clubs
Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has become the first African player to make at least 100 Premier League appearances for three different clubs. Iwobi reached the milestone during Fulham’s 3-2 defeat to Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage on September 5, 2026. The 30-year-old started the match and played 83 minutes. He previously made 100 league appearances for Arsenal and 123 for Everton. His latest appearance brought him to 100 for Fulham, placing him alongside Gareth Barry, James Milner, Gary Speed and Rory Delap as the only players to achieve the feat. Across his Premier League career, Iwobi has made 322 appearances and recorded 35 goals and 39 assists for Arsenal, Everton and Fulham.
