In-Laws Reportedly Leave Young Widow’s Home After Public Outcry
The mother-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law of Tosin, a 28-year-old widow, have reportedly moved out of her matrimonial home after public outrage over allegations that they harassed and intimidated her shortly after her husband’s death. Tosin said her late husband’s relatives moved into the home eight days after his death on July 20, leaving her distressed and fearful. The allegations drew widespread condemnation after the matter surfaced online. The Lagos State Government reportedly intervened, while Tosin’s father-in-law remains in police custody. A later video call indicated that Tosin and her children are safe.
