Governor Soludo Appoints Chiamaka Nnake as Anambra’s First Female and Youngest SSG
Governor Chukwuma Soludo has approved the appointment of Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake as the new Secretary to the State Government. At 39 years old, she becomes both the first female and the youngest SSG in Anambra State’s history. Mrs. Nnake is a seasoned finance and public sector professional with over 13 years of experience. She most recently served as Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, where she led the mobilisation, planning, and allocation of state resources to drive socio-economic development. She has held key leadership roles on state boards and agencies, including the Investment Promotion and Protection Agency and the Internal Revenue Service Board. She also chairs the national HOPE Programme and has championed reforms to ease business and expand social investment initiatives. Before joining public service, Chiamaka was a Senior Strategy Consultant at a leading global firm. She led more than 30 client engagements, earned the firm’s CEO Award in 2021, and played a pivotal role in crafting Anambra Vision 2070. She holds an MBA from Lagos Business School, graduated with First-Class Honours in Accounting, is an ACCA Fellow, a CFA Level I candidate, and is pursuing a PhD in Public Policy.
