Abia APC Primary Sparks Controversy Over Alleged Nwosu Influence
Fresh claims have emerged about the All Progressives Congress primary for the Ikwuano/Umuahia House of Representatives seat in Abia state. A media team linked to Lucky Igbokwe alleges that former Imo state Chief of Staff Uche Nwosu swayed delegates to favour his in-law, ex-Assembly Speaker Chinedum Orji, known as “Ikuku”. Stakeholders say the process did not reflect the true choice of delegates. Neither Nwosu nor Orji has responded publicly. The Abia APC chapter is yet to issue an official comment. Observers warn that unresolved grievances could widen divisions as parties prepare for the 2027 elections.
