Jay-Jay Okocha Buys Homes for Family to Ensure They’re Never Homeless

Jay-Jay Okocha Buys Homes for Family to Ensure They’re Never Homeless

Football icon Jay-Jay Okocha says one of his proudest investments was securing housing for his relatives. In a recent interview on The LongForm podcast, he explained that building homes for his family meant they would never worry about rent again. He also covers his nieces’ and nephews’ school fees and provides startup capital for family businesses. Okocha added that once he sets them up, it’s up to them to make it work – his role ends after the initial support. The former Super Eagles midfielder says he’s endured enough hardship and wants to protect his loved ones from the struggles he faced. He believes removing the worry of shelter and education gives them the best chance to succeed.
