Six schools from Alimosho came together for the first Bosede Idehen 5-Aside Football Tournament. The six-week event ran from March 6 to April 17, showcasing young talent, teamwork and sportsmanship. Bosede Idehen International Academy joined Springfield Private School, Parcel Manuel School, Phidel School, God’s Merit School, Silverson School and Sapphire Stones School. Cash prizes and trophies awaited the top three teams as an incentive to excel both on and off the pitch. Mrs. Idehen Ovabor, Director of Bosede Idehen International Academy, emphasised that sports complement classroom learning. She praised staff for their dedication and hopes future editions will attract more schools across Lagos State. Parents, teachers and students applauded the platform for fostering unity, discipline and healthy competition. Organisers plan to make the tournament an annual fixture to boost grassroots sports development in the region.
