Edo State University Student Raises Concerns Over Hostel Conditions and Drug-Screening Rule
I am unhappy with the conditions at Edo State University, Iyahmo. I have experienced poor hostel facilities, unreliable electricity and water supply, unclean toilets, and what I consider weak learning conditions despite the high fees. I am also concerned about the compulsory drug-screening exercise. The memo states that students who do not complete the screening may be denied access to the hostel after 6 p.m. In my view, the school should improve student welfare, sanitation, teaching quality, and communication before presenting a better image online. Parents and prospective students should make proper enquiries before choosing the university.
