How to Secure Admission with Low JAMB Scores and Two-Sitting O’Level Results

Scoring below 200 in JAMB or having to combine WAEC and NECO results doesn’t end your university dream. Many Nigerian institutions now accept cut-off marks as low as 140 and recognize two-sitting O’Level results for non-professional courses. Schools like Federal University Birnin Kebbi, Sokoto State University and Bauchi State University admit candidates with scores between 140 and 180 into programs such as Education, Agriculture and Social Sciences. Some larger universities also consider these lower marks and two-sitting combinations for select courses. To boost your chances, apply to multiple schools, choose less competitive courses and prepare thoroughly for post-UTME screening. Always verify each institution’s specific requirements and subject combinations before applying. With the right information and strategy, low JAMB scores and two-sitting results become challenges you can overcome on your path to university admission.

With JAMB below 200 or two-sitting O'Level, which schools have you considered that accept cut-off marks as low as 140?

I've noticed many institutions advertise low cut-off marks but still favour candidates with stronger first-sitting scores.

It's naive to think combining WAEC and NECO alone guarantees admission without a solid post-UTME performance.

Consider retaking weaker O'Level subjects in a single sitting and focus on improving your JAMB score above 140 for better chances.
