From University Graduate to Truck Driver: Starting My Training in Port Harcourt

Tomorrow I begin my truck driving lessons at Giwost Training Center in Port Harcourt. Many will find it surprising that a university graduate would choose this path. But with white-collar jobs so scarce, startup capital hard to raise, and overseas options pricey, I’d rather pick up a practical skill that pays. I finished my degree in the 2019/2020 session at one of Nigeria’s top universities. Instead of waiting at home, I’m learning from scratch to put food on the table. Driving and travelling are my passions. Truck driving combines both. I’ll update this thread until I land my first job. Advice from experienced drivers is welcome.
