Three Young Nigerians Represent Country at 2026 International STEM Olympiad in Rome
Three gifted students from Enugu, Owerri and Lagos are in Rome this week for the International STEM Olympiad. They face competitors from 154 countries in mathematics and science. Chimdiebube Onwubiko is hailed as Nigeria’s top junior mathematician and has mastered university-level engineering maths. Don Anele Munachimso Marvelous won national prizes in chemistry and maths, including a ₦5 million star prize and a $100,000 scholarship abroad. Egejurum Onyedikachi Ethan holds the title of best primary school mathematician after a regional maths Olympiad win. The team arrived in Rome on July 2 with their teachers and full support from Educare’s CEO. Results will be announced on July 7, and their sponsor hopes this marks the start of more global achievements for Nigeria’s brightest minds.
