Divine Instruction: Why Obedience to God’s Direction Matters
One of the key battles for every believer is learning to receive and obey God’s instruction. We may ask God to bless our plans, yet fail to seek and follow His direction. Scripture teaches that God instructs, guides and protects those who trust Him. Jesus showed the ultimate example of obedience by submitting to the Father’s will, even when it was difficult. Hearing God’s Word becomes fruitful when it leads to action. Believers are called to pray for direction, test every leading against Scripture, remain teachable and obey promptly. Like an experienced pilot who still follows guidance from the control tower, no one becomes too successful or knowledgeable to need God’s direction. Choose God’s wisdom above personal feelings, pressure from others and convenience. Prayer: Lord Jesus, give me a listening heart and the grace to obey Your Word. Deliver me from pride, self-will and disobedience, and direct my steps according to Your perfect will. Amen.
