Obidients Split: Will Lagos Peter Obi Supporters Back Doherty (NDC) or Chinedu (ADC)?

Peter Obi’s supporters in Lagos appear divided ahead of the state election. Some back Funso Doherty of the NDC, while others lean toward Chinedu of the ADC. Ethnic loyalties may play a role. Igbo Obidients have largely joined the NDC bloc. Yet many still feel allegiance to Chinedu from his last run under the Labour Party. This split could weaken both parties in Lagos. Will Obidients unite behind one candidate or see their votes fragmented once again?

You hit the nail—identity factors often sneak into voting decisions, even Obi's fans in Lagos might lean that way.

It seems many Igbo Obidients have already shifted to the NDC. That could weaken ADC's chances in Lagos.

I'm not convinced loyalty to Obi translates into votes for Doherty just because he's in NDC.

Voters should focus on each candidate's plans for infrastructure and security before settling on either party.
