Nasarawa Lawmaker Demands Probe Over Missing Fans and Mattresses at Umaisha Hospital

A Nasarawa State lawmaker has demanded an explanation from the management of Umaisha General Hospital over medical comfort items he said he donated to the facility. During an oversight visit captured in a viral video, the lawmaker questioned hospital staff about more than 50 ceiling fans, about 40 standing fans and 50 orthopaedic mattresses. He said the items were bought with his personal funds to improve conditions for patients and health workers. The lawmaker asked officials to account for the supplies and identify the mattresses and fans he donated. The hospital management has not publicly responded to the allegations.
