Edo Police Nab Four Suspected Cultists, Seize Pump-Action Guns in Uromi

The Edo State Police Command announced the arrest of four suspected cultists in Uromi. Officers recovered four English pump-action guns, nine live cartridges and three spent rounds. The suspects, aged 26 to 64, are believed to be members of the Eiye Confraternity. Preliminary investigations indicate the firearms were obtained illegally. Commissioner of Police Monday Agbonika commended the operatives for their professionalism and swift response. The suspects have been arraigned and will face prosecution. The command urges residents to provide timely, credible information. Confidentiality of all reports is guaranteed, as the police sustain their crackdown on cultism and violent crimes.

Four pump-action guns sound alarming, but we often see recovered weapons without arrests leading to any real convictions.
