Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Disowns ‘Prime Aura’ Scam, Urges Nigerians to Stay Alert

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization, has publicly disowned a fake investment advert running under her name. The advert, which promised returns of ₦460,000 per week through the so-called Prime Aura Programme, appeared in a newspaper that cloned The Punch masthead. Okonjo-Iweala’s legal team is already investigating the fraudulent publication. She warned Nigerians not to fall for the scheme and asked the real newspaper to take action. “Please ignore this fake use of my name and image,” she said. “We must fight these fraudsters vigorously.”
