Omo-Agege Backs Obi Ahead of 2027, Still Supports Tinubu’s Economic Reforms

Omo-Agege Backs Obi Ahead of 2027, Still Supports Tinubu’s Economic Reforms

Former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege has declared his support for Peter Obi’s presidential bid in 2027 while reaffirming his endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s major economic policies. On ARISE TV’s The Morning Show, he said he did not leave the All Progressives Congress but that the party abandoned him and his 230,000 supporters in Delta State. Omo-Agege praised the removal of fuel subsidy and the naira floatation, pointing out that Peter Obi had also championed similar reforms. He added that Nigerians would have more confidence in these policies under Obi’s leadership, though he remains convinced they are necessary for the country’s growth.
