Tragedy at Brighton Beach: Three London Sisters Found Dead
Three sisters from Uxbridge, London, were recovered from the sea off Brighton’s Madeira Drive in the early hours of May 13. Emergency services first reached the water near Black Rock car park at about 05:45 BST and later recovered two more bodies nearby. Sussex Police have identified the women as 36-year-old Jane Adetoro and sisters Christina and Rebecca Walter, aged 32 and 31. Their father described his grief as unbearable. “No words can describe the pain of losing three daughters in the prime of their lives,” he said. He added that their smiles brightened dark days and that they will always be deeply loved and missed. Police have stated there is no evidence of third-party involvement. Specialist detectives are investigating to establish the full circumstances of how the sisters came to be in the water. Sussex Police confirmed that the women’s next of kin are receiving support from specialist officers. Brighton & Hove City Council leaders called the incident the most devastating news the city has received in a long time.
