WAEC Recruitment Applicants Allege Portal Failures as Council Denies Glitches
Applicants for WAEC’s 2026 recruitment aptitude test have alleged that portal failures, login errors and network issues prevented some of them from taking or completing the computer-based examination. Some candidates said they travelled to test centres, waited for the scheduled time and still could not access the platform. Others claimed their invitations lacked key details such as the test venue and time. WAEC has denied that the exercise suffered technical glitches, stating that the recruitment examination was concluded successfully. The complaints have renewed scrutiny of the council’s digital systems following the public debate over the 2026 WASSCE results. The concerns have also added to calls for WAEC to provide clearer communication and strengthen its technology for candidates and job applicants.
