SWAN President Urges Unity, Reform at 2026 Kaduna Delegates Congress
The President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) says the 2026 National Triennial Delegates Congress in Kaduna should promote honest reflection, constructive engagement and democratic decisions for the association’s future. He urged members to protect SWAN’s integrity, strengthen its internal structures and build a united, accountable and professional body. He said a stronger association would better represent sports journalists and advance their interests nationwide. The president also called for technology adoption, regular training, ethical and fact-based reporting, and improved welfare for members. He appealed for stronger partnerships with government, sports federations, corporate organisations and development partners.
