Tinubu Directs ICPC to Probe Fake Presidential Council, Sets 30-Day Deadline

President Bola Tinubu has ordered the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission to investigate the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, declaring it fictitious and unauthorized. The Presidency says the PFIPC was never established by any legal instrument and that Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew falsely presented himself as its Director-General. Tinubu wants the ICPC to conclude the probe into forged appointment letters, fake agencies and bank accounts within 30 days. Investigators will identify collaborators, trace the use of forged documents for diplomatic or visa support, and follow the movement of any illicit funds. All Ministries, Departments and Agencies have been instructed to provide records and assistance. The President stressed that anyone found culpable must face the full weight of the law to protect the integrity of public institutions and prevent future abuses.
