Amotekun Corps Arrests Couple for Burglary at Ex-Speaker’s Okitipupa Home
The Ondo State Security Network Agency arrested a husband and wife for breaking into the country home of former Assembly Speaker Jumoke Akindele in Okitipupa. Operatives recovered seven stolen mobile phones and other valuables before suspects tried to smuggle them to Lagos. The arrest followed an intelligence-led operation. Investigators trailed the stolen items to a transporter and apprehended both him and an accomplice after the main suspects, Samson Osowe and his wife Ayo Oguneso, confessed. Former Speaker Akindele confirmed the nighttime raid damaged several windows and renewed her call for state policing. She praised the Amotekun Corps’ bravery and urged the government to formally recognize and reward their performance.
