Northern Democratic Front Rebukes Oshiomhole for Defamatory Claims Against Senate Leadership

The Northern Democratic Front has issued a strong rebuke of Senator Adams Oshiomhole for accusing NNPCL staff of theft and alleging misconduct by Senate President Godswill Akpabio. In its statement, the group called these claims reckless and defamatory, and urged Oshiomhole to present any evidence to anti‐corruption agencies rather than relying on media accusations. It also questioned the legality of an arrest warrant issued against former NNPCL boss Mele Kyari, noting that due process was ignored and that Oshiomhole lacked the authority to do so as a committee member. The NDF insisted that democratic leadership must be earned through integrity and persuasion, and demanded a public retraction of false statements along with full respect for Senate procedures.
