Super Eagles Winger Olakunle Olusegun Seals Move to FC Rostov

Russian Premier League side FC Rostov have finalised the transfer of Super Eagles winger Olakunle Olusegun from Krasnodar, Completesports reports. The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Nizhny Novgorod, scoring five goals in 26 league outings. He originally joined the Krasnodar system in 2021 after starting his professional career in Denmark with Fremad Amager. Olusegun holds the record for the fastest goal in Russian Premier League history, finding the net in just nine seconds in October 2022. Over three seasons with Krasnodar, he made 100 appearances, tallying 12 goals and eight assists. He earned his first senior cap for Nigeria in a friendly against Russia in June 2025 and will look to push for more international opportunities at his new club.

It's interesting that Rostov signed him after his loan, but scoring five goals in 26 outings hardly screams prolific performance.
