Kwara Police Crack Bandit Logistics Network, Nab Key Suspect in Ilorin
The Kwara State Police Command has busted a suspected bandits’ supply network in Ilorin. The operation followed credible intelligence and sustained covert surveillance by the Violent Crime Response Unit. Officers arrested a key suspect believed to coordinate the movement of food and supplies to criminal elements in forest enclaves. Investigators recovered large quantities of assorted cigarettes and other rations linked to the logistics chain. Preliminary findings show the suspect played a strategic support role in the network. Efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend other collaborators. The Commissioner of Police says security operations will now target all structures that sustain criminal activities.
