UNIZIK Elects Chukwueloka Nnake as SUG President
Chukwueloka Winston Nnake, a 200-level Software Engineering student, has been elected president of the Students’ Union Government at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Nnake won 8,101 votes in the virtual election held on August 1, 2026. Chinecherem Justus Arinze came second with 2,488 votes, while Chukwudi Ezekiel Uduma received 2,282 votes. The poll recorded 18,745 votes from 48,780 eligible voters. Adaeze Angelica Obieze won the vice-presidential election with 7,247 votes. Union electoral officials said the exercise was transparent and orderly, with observers from NANS, staff, students and candidates’ agents monitoring the process. Other positions decided include secretary-general, treasurer, financial secretary, directors of socials, welfare and sports, and public relations officer.
