Ronaldo Apologises to Portugal Teammates After Camp Exit
Cristiano Ronaldo has apologised to his Portugal teammates and supporters after leaving the national team camp. He said his decision followed what he described as a breach of trust involving the coach and the Portuguese Football Federation. The Portugal captain said he had asked the federation president and coach to be honest if they no longer wanted him in the squad. According to him, both assured him that he remained part of the team, but he later chose to leave rather than wait for another broken promise. Ronaldo accepted responsibility for walking out and said he should face any punishment imposed by the federation. He added that he remains available to represent Portugal if he is fit, active for his club and has served any suspension.
