Troops Neutralise Suspected Terrorist Spy in Borno, Arrest 14 Across Nigeria

Nigerian troops say they neutralised a suspected female terrorist spy in Kawuri, Konduga LGA of Borno State, after CCTV surveillance detected her approaching a military position from the Sambisa Forest axis. The suspect was believed to be linked to ISWAP or JAS. The military also reported several arrests across the country. In the FCT, troops arrested a soldier allegedly accused of desertion and recovered a military uniform and vehicle. Another suspect was detained over alleged stolen armoured cables. In Imo State, five suspected IPOB/ESN members were arrested at Etuekwe Junction in Orsu LGA. Eight suspected cultists were also arrested in Eha-Amufu, Enugu State, over alleged terrorist-related activities near border communities with Ebonyi. The suspects have been handed to the police for investigation and possible prosecution.
