Glasgow 2026: Tobi Amusan Wins 100m Hurdles Bronze as Nigeria Reaches 16 Medals

Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan won bronze in the women’s 100m hurdles final at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, clocking 12.60 seconds on Thursday. Bahamas’ Devynne Charlton took gold, while Jamaica’s Megan Simmonds won silver. Amusan, who won the event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, had hoped to claim a third consecutive Commonwealth title after remaining unbeaten at the competition since her 2018 debut. Her medal was Team Nigeria’s second athletics medal of the night, following Chukwuebuka Enekwechi’s gold in the men’s shot put. Nigeria’s tally at the Games now stands at 16 medals: eight gold, five silver and three bronze.
