Obasanjo Praises Team Behind 65 Free Surgeries for Children

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has praised a medical team that completed 65 free adenotonsillectomy surgeries for children in celebration of Peter Obi’s 65th birthday. More than 100 children were screened during the outreach, and over 70 were found to have conditions linked to adenotonsillar disease. The children who required surgery underwent the procedure and were discharged after recovery. Obasanjo urged the team to continue supporting Nigerians through medical service. The outreach also highlighted free cataract surgeries, eye treatment and the distribution of eyeglasses.
