APC’s Lagos Majority Leader Accuses Oba of Plot to Overturn His Eti-Osa Primary Victory

APC’s Lagos Majority Leader Accuses Oba of Plot to Overturn His Eti-Osa Primary Victory

Noheem Adams, Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, raised the alarm during a Victory Walk in Eti-Osa Constituency 1. He claimed a top local monarch is scheming to doctor the APC primary result that handed him 7,638 votes against his opponent’s 1,225. Adams said INEC officials, DSS, police personnel and even the opposing candidate’s agents witnessed and signed off on the result at the local government collation centre. He urged President Tinubu to caution the Oba and warned the Inspector-General of Police to hold the monarch responsible if anything happens to him. The Lekki Residents and Stakeholders Association also rallied behind Adams, praising his landslide win and thanking party leaders for their support. He called on his supporters to stay calm as the party resolves the issue.

What do you think prompted Adams to publicly accuse that monarch after such a decisive primary result?

Has he shown any tangible proof to back that serious allegation against the monarch?

It's odd that someone with over six thousand votes would face allegations of result tampering so close to election day.

Party officials should consider appointing an independent committee to review the primary results and prevent similar disputes in the future.
