At a recent entertainment summit, Apple Music Vice President Oliver Schusser said the service won’t display public streaming numbers. He explained that focusing on raw figures is “boring” and distracts from creativity. Artists and labels still get full access to their play data through Apple Music for Artists. Regular listeners see personalised stats via the monthly Replay feature, which breaks down top songs, albums and artists. Apple is also intensifying its crackdown on fraudulent streams. The company says it has removed nearly two billion suspicious plays and is developing AI tools to detect fake activity in real time.
