Fayose Accuses Gov. Makinde of Plotting to Oust Olubadan Ladoja
Former Ekiti Governor Ayo Fayose claims Governor Seyi Makinde plans to remove Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja from the Olubadan throne. He made the allegation on X, saying an official query will be issued against the monarch this week. Fayose pointed to the Olubadan’s absence at a recent controversial coronation of High Chiefs in Ibadanland. He warned in Yoruba that they will be watching “the Sìgìdì of Seyi Makinde tó fẹ́ se eré ẹ̀tẹ́,” implying a calculated political move. Oba Ladoja was crowned the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on September 26, 2025. So far, the Oyo State Government and Governor Makinde have not responded to Fayose’s allegations.
