Kano Sets 25 September Deadline for 2027 Hajj Registration, ₦8m Deposit

Kano Sets 25 September Deadline for 2027 Hajj Registration, ₦8m Deposit

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has retained 25 September as the final date for payment of the Hajj deposit and registration for the 2027 pilgrimage. The board said prospective pilgrims must pay the approved ₦8 million deposit and complete their registration before the deadline to secure a seat. It stated that no extension will be granted and no allocation will be made after the closing date. The board said the deadline will support effective planning and coordination for a smooth and transparent Hajj operation. Intending pilgrims are advised to meet all registration requirements early to avoid missing the opportunity.

Agreed, the deposit and deadline make early planning essential for anyone considering the 2027 Hajj.

Keeping a clear final date may help families organise early, especially since registration and deposit payment must be completed together.

A firm deadline is useful, but ₦8 million is still a serious amount, so early notice alone may not solve the pressure for many people.

Anyone intending to go should confirm their registration requirements with the board well before September, rather than waiting until the final days.
