Kebbi University ASUU Gives Government Two Weeks to Avert Indefinite Strike

Kebbi University ASUU Gives Government Two Weeks to Avert Indefinite Strike

The ASUU branch at Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero, has given the Kebbi State Government, the university’s Governing Council and management two weeks to meet its demands or face an indefinite strike. The ultimatum runs from July 31 to August 13. The union wants the implementation of the FGN/ASUU 2025 Agreement, which took effect on January 1, 2026, as well as the resolution of outstanding welfare issues affecting its members. ASUU said its congress reached the decision after previous engagements with relevant authorities failed to resolve the issues. It urged the authorities to act before the deadline to avoid disruption to the academic calendar.
